Colombian Chicken Rice
Rice with chicken is a traditional Colombian recipe , an exquisite dish, very nutritious and easy to prepare, if you want to bring an authentic Colombian Chicken Rice to your table, here we share the complete recipe:
Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 pound rice
- Paprika
- Garlic
- Onion bighead
- Carrot
- Pea
- Bean
- Sausage or sausage
- Water
- Salt
- Color
Preparation:
Cook the breast, add a pinch of salt and half a big onion, when cooked the breast is removed to cool, also remove the onion.In another pot, add a drizzle of oil and sauté the paprika cut in julienne, the crushed garlic, the sausage or the sausage cut into small pieces and the chopped onion, stir until they begin to soften and the sausage browns. Incorporate once shredded breast.
The same broth of the breast, we will use it to prepare the rice, take 4 cups of broth for 2 of rice.
To the pot with the vegetables, add the broth, rectify the seasoning and if necessary add more salt, then add the rice, stir so that all the ingredients are well mixed, over medium heat let it cook for 15 minutes or until it dries rice.
When it has dried, cover the wave and let it simmer for another 10 minutes or until the rice softens.
Serve and accompany it with French fries or patacones. In Colombia, rice with chicken is also served with tomato sauce.
